  • TODD SENTYRZ | OWNER, CEO

    Todd has been a dedicated part of Legacy since 2006, marking over 18 years with the company. With a background in the HVAC industry spanning more than two decades, Todd's journey began in the field, handling construction and installation. His dedication and expertise led him to various roles, including Construction Manager, where he played a pivotal role in the company's operations.

    In November 2021, Todd acquired Legacy following the retirement of the previous owner. Under his leadership, he has nearly doubled the company's profit, demonstrating his strategic acumen and relentless drive for success. Todd’s multifaceted experience includes overseeing manpower, human resources, financial responsibilities, and project sales estimating, showcasing his comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Legacy.

    Todd’s approach is deeply influenced by his faith. He believes that the company’s success is a direct reflection of what God has bestowed upon him. This faith-driven perspective guides his leadership and reinforces his commitment to integrity, fairness, and the well-being of both employees and customers.

    Looking ahead, Todd is dedicated to maintaining Legacy’s position as a leading contractor in the mechanical industry.   • JENNIFER ESPINOZA | SR. DESIGN DRAFTER

    Jen Espinoza brings nearly 28 years of drafting experience, with a strong background in both residential and commercial industries. She joined Legacy Companies in 2007 as a drafter and has since played a pivotal role in the company’s development. Over the years, Jen has assisted in a variety of departments, including reception, office management, admin, AP, AR, dispatch, IT, and project management, alongside her core responsibilities in CAD and drafting.

    Jen is particularly proud of her work on the Prairie Care Hospital in Brooklyn Park, the largest non-warehouse design-build project she has been a part of. She continues to develop design-build plans for construction, manage drafting workflows, and coordinate all aspects of permit procurement. Jen's journey with Legacy has been one of continuous learning and adaptation, and she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), with plans to obtain her Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota. She is also a member of the Women in HVACR organization, where she received a scholarship for her ongoing education in HVAC design and engineering.

    Jen’s goal is to implement an engineering division within Legacy Companies, solidifying the company's ability to offer in-house engineering and consultation services. Jen is excited about the future of Legacy and looks forward to continuing to contribute to its growth and success.

  • NATE SAVAGE| SHEETMETAL CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/ MANPOWER

    Nate Savage brings 17 years of experience from the Sheetmetal union, having begun his career at the age of 19, part of the Sheet Metal Local #10 union. He joined Legacy in 2020, initially working as a Journeyman before advancing to a Foreman role within two years. In June 2022, Nate transitioned into the office as a Construction Manager.

    In his current role, Nate is responsible for managing manpower for Sheetmetal, scheduling personnel for various jobs, coordinating with job supervisors, handling deliveries, ordering lifts, setting up crane picks, and ensuring that projects remain on track and are completed successfully. His extensive field experience informs his work in the office, making him a key asset in optimizing construction management.

    Nate is well-qualified with certifications including OSHA 30, MPLS & St. Paul comp card, forklift, signal and rigging, and Pro 10. His notable projects include Eat Street, Monticello VFW, MSP Airport, and Mall of America.

    Nate’s proactive approach and leadership skills have significantly contributed to Legacy’s success. He is dedicated to leveraging his field knowledge to enhance productivity and efficiency within the construction management team. Looking ahead, Nate aims to support the development of a team for larger plan and spec jobs, further strengthening Legacy's capabilities.

    Nate is energized by the collaborative spirit of the Legacy team, where the shared drive for hard work and profitability creates a strong, unified work environment. He values the close-knit relationships within the team and is committed to contributing to the company's continued growth and success.

  • COREY BAUER| PIPEFITTER CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/ MANPOWER

    Corey Bauer began his journey with Legacy more than 8.5 years ago, bringing extensive experience in HVAC/R and low voltage systems for over 20 years. As a General Foreman in the Pipefitter #539 union, Corey was Legacy's top service fitter before transitioning to the office. He holds numerous licenses, including Power Limited Master, Master Refrigeration, Master Gas, Master Low Pressure Hot Water, Steam Licenses, and continues to further his education while holding the Fitter Construction Manager position.

    His responsibilities include assisting with both service and construction aspects, designing and troubleshooting controls, scheduling work and deliveries, and monitoring materials. His expertise in designing control sequences and implementing them in the field is a key asset.

    Corey values the strong team dynamic and the family-based culture at Legacy and believes that a positive work environment is crucial for success. Corey is dedicated to expanding the fitter team for both service and construction, and he envisions a significant role in growing Legacy’s operations and contributing to the company's future. Corey is excited about the potential for launching a residential division if the company decides to explore that avenue. He remains committed to continuous education and maintaining a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, making work both exciting and enjoyable.

  • JIM TURPIN| PRESIDENT/ ESTIMATOR/ SR. PROJECT MANAGER

    Jim brings over 40 years of experience to Legacy, having started his career as a union sheet metal worker before transitioning into estimating and project management—a shift that has shaped a successful 30-year career in the HVAC industry. Since joining Legacy at the end of 2020, Jim has utilized his vast experience, which includes overseeing more than 4,000 projects throughout his career, ranging from small-scale jobs of $500 to large-scale projects valued at $2.6 million. His expertise ensures that each project is managed from concept through to completion with the highest standards of cost-effectiveness and professionalism.
    Jim's impressive address book includes strong relationships with key general contractors, which has been instrumental in developing long-term customer partnerships and securing numerous projects. He is committed to sharing his extensive knowledge by training and mentoring entry-level project managers, helping to build a strong future for the company.

    Holding master licenses in warm air, ventilation, and gas fitting, Jim’s deep-rooted expertise and commitment to his craft continue to make him a central figure at Legacy. His proactive approach to managing complex projects and his focus on developing future project managers highlight his significant role in the company’s ongoing success and growth.

  • john meyer | estimator/ Project Manager

    John brings over two decades of experience in the HVAC industry, with a strong background in pipefitting and project management. He joined Legacy in 2021, quickly rising to a leadership role due to his extensive knowledge and dedication. Throughout his career, John has held various positions, including Service Technician, Foreman, General Foreman, and now Project Manager. His expertise spans job estimation, contract management, and project coordination, with a particular focus on plan/spec, government jobs, and school projects.

    John's commitment to building strong relationships with general contractors has been key to securing bids and driving the company's project portfolio growth. He is proficient in using industry-leading software platforms such as Procore and Autodesk, ensuring that project schedules are met and customer expectations are exceeded.

    With a 5-year apprenticeship through LU#539 and multiple certifications, including HPP Journeyman steam and MPLS City licenses, John is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the industry and leverage technology and innovative bidding techniques to expand Legacy's plan/spec department.

    John's positive attitude, combined with his deep-rooted values of honesty, integrity, and transparency, makes him a crucial contributor to Legacy's ongoing success. John envisions a future where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Legacy.

  • MAX RISSANEN | ESTIMATOR/ PROJECT MANAGER

    Max brings 8 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including his time as a Foreman and a member of the Pipefitters #539 union. He joined Legacy to explore new challenges and opportunities in a smaller, dynamic environment. With a background in extensive fieldwork and pipefitting, Max sought to leverage his skills in a different setting and contribute to Legacy’s growth.

    He completed a 5-year apprenticeship program and holds certifications in High Pressure Steam, Gas, Oil, Hot Water, and Refrigeration. At Legacy, Max estimates jobs, attends walkthroughs, works with clients, and collaborates with construction managers for manpower and equipment scheduling. His deep industry knowledge and relationships with key figures in the HVAC field in the Twin Cities are invaluable assets to the company.

    Max is especially proud of his role in the Jonco project, which marked his first assignment as a Foreman for Legacy. He is focused on applying his expertise to attract new clients and expand Legacy’s project portfolio. Max envisions growing into a senior role, overseeing large design-build projects and contributing significantly to the company’s development. He values Legacy’s commitment to fairness and integrity and is excited about the future opportunities within the company.

  • TROY MCCORMACK | SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER

    Troy joined Legacy with a diverse background in warehouse management, project management, IT support, and dispatching. Although he had no formal experience in dispatch, Troy’s previous roles included responsibilities similar to those required at Legacy. At his prior job, he managed billing, hiring, IT support, and customer relations, often taking on various tasks as needed.

    Since joining Legacy, Troy’s main responsibilities include scheduling service technicians, communicating with customers, handling service billings, and ensuring all maintenance is kept up and service calls are tended to. He also works closely with Corey and the construction department to help achieve Legacy’s goals.

    Troy’s mechanical inclination and proficiency with computers help him adapt quickly to HVAC-related tasks. He is committed to mastering his current responsibilities and is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the company's growth. He values the company’s focus on credibility, integrity, and trust, and is enthusiastic about the rewarding atmosphere at Legacy. Troy looks forward to expanding his role and helping build the service department to potentially require additional support in the future.

  • ASHLEY Morrison | HR OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Ashley Morrison joined Legacy in 2017, bringing with her a diverse background in retail management and administrative roles in different industries. Initially hired as the, now, retired owner’s assistant and secretary, she quickly took on additional responsibilities, playing a pivotal role in modernizing Legacy's operations. Ashley’s contributions include implementing new software systems and creating the foundational platform we called "The Monday Bible," which Legacy relied on for project management. Years later, she was also instrumental in implementing another new software to take over for the Monday platform, continuing to evolve Legacy's processes utilizing technology advancements.

    Over the years, Ashley’s role has evolved significantly. She has held various positions, including Secretary, Project Manager Assistant, and Office Manager. Today, she oversees payroll, benefits, new hire onboarding, and the overall management of office operations. Ashley is also deeply involved in job mobilization, ensuring smooth transitions from project start to finish while managing the admin operations.

    As a member of the Women in HVACR organization, Ashley continually seeks opportunities to grow professionally and contribute to the company's ongoing success. Her commitment to maintaining a seamless working environment, combined with her ability to coordinate and support office staff, makes her a key player in Legacy’s continued success. Ashley is passionate about the future of Legacy and is dedicated to helping the company adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing industry. She looks forward to further developing her expertise and taking on higher-level responsibilities within the organization.
